This was an animated promo piece for the Global Citizen organization and its app that was both broadcast on-air and streamed during MSNBC’s live coverage of the 2017 Global Citizen Festival—a high-profile benefit concert focusing on ending poverty and fighting inequality that took place in New York City's central park. The concert was headlined by Stevie Wonder, Green Day, The Killers, The Lumineers, and The Chainsmokers, with special performances by Pharrell Williams, Big Sean, Andra Day, and Alessia Cara. Some of the notable hosts and presenters were Hugh Jackman, Demi Lovato, Jane Goodall, Whoopi Goldberg, Priyanka Chopra, Lupita Nyong'o, Connie Britton, and Camren Bicondova.

Narrated by MSNBC news correspondent Jacob Soboroff, this piece looked at what qualities define a “global citizen” (action and engagement), the causes that Global Citizen tackles as an organization, and the role of applying pressure on national governments in reducing extreme poverty. It also showed viewers how they can use the Global Citizen app to conveniently take action online on global issues in exchange for points, which can then be used to win free tickets to live shows — including the annual Global Citizen Festival.
